Getting lost in the many streets and districts of Monopoli and then finding yourself on a charming terrace at sunset is really a unique and unforgettable experience.
From here, you can enjoy a privileged view of the sea and the stone village: looking from above the walls and the majestic Castle of Charles V, surrounded by the deep blue of sky and sea, in all their magic colours.
The unique and unequivocal flavours of Puglia will await us, from the crunchiness of taralli and bread seasoned with tomatoes and extra virgin olive oil to the appetizing local olives, with the tasting of 2 types of fine Apulian wine. A sommelier will be offering you an accurate sensory analysis of them, combining the perfect wine with every Apulian specialty.
Next, you will take part in the “Hell in the Cave” show inside the Castellana Caves, the most visited site in Puglia. This is the perfect place to represent the circles of Hell in Dante’s Divine Comedy. You will feel like you really live as one of the Damned. You will be carried to the center of the earth (in the” Grave”) the first cavern of the underground cave system, the only natural environment connected to the outside. Suspended dancers on “aerial silk” perform some well-known scenes, including the troubled love between Paolo and Francesca, Beatrice, who ascends and gives hope, Minos, Judge of the underworld, who with his long guts sends everyone into Hell, Ulysses, among the fraudulent counselors, burst into flames and Lucifer, King of the Hell that reveals its power.
